Although applications will be accepted any time, priority will be given to New Student Applications received before June 1, 2017. A $25 application fee is required per family. Once your completed forms are received the student will be considered for admission into the program you selected. Applications, along with the $25 application fee, may be submitted by mail (P.O. Box 98, Saxtons River, VT 05154) or email to:

Each child shall have either immunization records appropriate for his or her age by September 1, 2017, or waivers signed by parent(s) if immunization is not chosen by the family, or by the family doctor if immunizations are not given for medical/health reasons.

Students who have properly returned their enrollment application forms with fees and have completed a school visit will be considered for enrollment. Once the student is accepted, a $200 tuition deposit is required to confirm the child’s enrollment. Parents must agree to abide by the by-laws, contracts, and all rules and regulations of SRMS.

Public Pre-K Funding

Act 166 now mandates funding for 10 hours per week of universal pre-K for all 3 to 5-year-olds in Vermont in a prequalified program for 35 weeks in a school year.

Regardless of parental income or circumstance, all children who are age 3-5 on or before 9/1/17 are eligible to receive high-quality early learning experiences. For 2017-18 the Act 166 funding is equal to $3,178.00 per child.

SRMS is a prequalified program. Pre-K funding is paid directly to the school and is applied towards your tuition. To receive these funds, each family needs to submit a Public Pre-K registration form to their school district.

Program costs for the 2017-2018 school year (10-month billing cycle, September-June):

Morning Preschool (8:30 – 11:45AM)

5 Mornings:  $ 6,125/yr.  (less $3,178 VT Pre-K Funding =  $2,947/yr.  $294.70/mo.)

Full Day Preschool (8:30AM – 3:00PM)

3 Full Days:  $ 6,300/yr.  (less $3,178 VT Pre-K Funding =  $3,122/yr.  $312.20/mo.)

4 Full Days:  $ 8,400/yr.  (less $3,178 VT Pre-K Funding =  $5,222/yr.  $522.20/mo.)

5 Full Days:  $10,500/yr.  (less $3,178 VT Pre-K Funding =  $7,322/yr.  $732.20/mo.)

Extended Day

Before Care is offered from 8:00 – 8:30AM.

If committed to a regular Before Care schedule 3-5 days/wk, the cost is $5/day.
Daily drop-in rate is $10/day.

Financial Aid

Saxtons River Montessori School (SRMS) recognizes that an offer of financial assistance may be an important factor in your decision to enroll your child at SRMS. The school offers partial scholarships based on financial need and the amount of money available in our budget.

Bright Futures

Building Bright Futures is a state program that offers tuition assistance for eligible families, based on income and child care need (e.g. parents work or go to school, etc.)
